NavarraBG: Proiektuaren hasiera
2019/07/15

Laborategian egindako esperimenturik gabe ezin da proiektu zientifiko bat sortu, horregatik, aste osoan zehar gure lan garrantzitsuena esperimentuak egiten hastea eta BIOGALAXY proiektua hobe ezagutzea izan da.

Egin dugun lanetako bat gure plasmidoarekin bakteriak haztea izan da gero landreetan txertatzeko eta horrela eraldatzeko. Esperimentu hau gabe, ezingo genuke proiektuarekin jarraitu, horregatik, ezinbestekoa zen aste honetan egitea. Bestalde, etorkizunerako beharrezko materiala sortu genuen, batik bat MS plakak antibiotikoarekin.

Laborategian tesia prestatzen ari den jendearekin lan egiteko aukera izan genuen, asko ikasi genuen haiekin. Aste honetan Samuelek, tesia prestatzen ari den mutiletako bat, Arabidopsis thaliana landarea nola eraldatu irakatsi digu.

Sanferminak zirela eta aste bateko jaia izan genuen, baina, denbora honetan proiektua alde batera ezin genuenez utzi, Sarah-k, gure koordinatzaileak, lehenago plaketan prestatutako landareak loreontzitan jarri zituen etorkizunean haiekin lan egin ahal izateko.

Normalean proiektu zientifiko bati buruz hitz egiten dugunean jendeak laborategian egindako lanean pentsatzen du, baina, ez gara beti laborategian egoten, gure proiektuari buruz informatu behar gara eta oso ongi ezagutu behar dugu, horretarako, Paco Muñoz ikertzaileak beharrezko informazio guztiarekin klase bat prestatu digu.

NavarraBG: Project start

Without all the experiments done in the laboratory we weren’t able to do a scientist project, that’s why this week our most important objective has been to begin the experiments and to know more the BIOGALAXY project. One of the works that we’ve done has been growing up bacterias with our plasmid in order to insert them into the plants and transform them. Without this experiment we couldn’t continue the project, that’s why we had to do it this week. Apart from that, we created our own material, as MS plaques with antibiotic, for future works.

In the laboratory we could also work with people who were preparing their thesis and with which we have learnt a lot. This week, Samuel, one of the boys preparing his thesis, has taught us how to transform Arabidopsis thaliana plants.

During San Fermin party, Pamplona’s most famous festivity, we had a free week but we couldn’t stop doing laboratory work and stop the project, so our Primary Pl Sarah Hualde passed all the plants that we had prepared previously in the plaques into pots for being able to use them in future experiments.

When we think in a scientific project we usually think in the work done in a laboratory, but that's not totally correct, we also have to get informed about the project and know it very well, so, this week the investigator Paco Muñoz has prepared for us,  a class with all the information that we had to know about the project.
